Writers say The Best Player in the World is England's Footballer of the Year

FWA Chairman Paul Hetherington:

"Ronaldo's award is no surprise after his brilliant form this season...Our records show he is the most overwhelming winner since Billy Bremner won it in 1970. He did not exactly get 100 percent of the vote, but from the moment voting started he moved to the front and stayed there...To score 38 goals in a season -- so far -- is an astonishing feat for a player who is essentially a winger. Given his age, he has the potential and ability to dominate this award for years in an unprecedented way."

  1. Without doubt, Ronny has earned every award he has won. In my opinion, more so than other footballers who are still surfing the wave of yesterday's glory. Ronny is the real deal, and at such a young age, it is a marvel to behold.

  2. I think you're right Matt. I've been track Ronny for a while now but I have to say that I'm very impressed by the fact that he has maybe the best support among since Bremner. That's cool. And well deserved. He's a great player on his own but he also makes already deadly United team even more deadly.
